Connect@UPMC General Information

Connect@UPMC is a remote access solution that enables authorized UPMC community members to access applications and data on the UPMC network from computers outside the network. The solution is secure, easy to setup and requires minimal software installation.

Connect@UPMC Minimum System Requirements

Hardware Requirements

• A stable Internet connection (Note: The staff member, not the business unit, is responsible for the cost of the connection.)

Software Requirements

• Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.No other Operating Systems are supported due to vendor specified limitations.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x, 8.x and 9.x No other web Browsers are supported due to vendor specified limitations.
• Administrative rights on the PC to install the Citrix client, and Juniper software, needed to connect to UPMC.

Macintosh computers are supported on a limited basis.

Special Conditions - Home Networking

Home networking configurations (multiple home PCs sharing a single Internet connection) are not supported by UPMC. If you intend to use Connect@UPMC in a home networking configuration, consult the documentation for your home networking equipment or consult your ISP to resolve any issues.
